Doctoral Colloquium

The aim of the IMP Doctoral Consortium is to create a forum for in-depth, informal discussions between PhD students interested in IMP research and experienced IMP researchers. This year the Faculty is represented by Per Vagn Freytag, Louise Young, Kristin B. Munksgaard, Alexandra Waluszewski and others.

In line with the IMP, the Doctoral Consortium will start with a plenary session, where one or more key aspects of the IMP research tradition will be presented. Doctoral students’ project presentations and discussions will follow in small groups comprising approximately four students, with two senior researchers assigned as discussants. Each PhD project will be discussed for approximately one hour. The Doctoral Consortium will also include workshops and plenary sessions on the overall theme ‘Research in the IMP tradition’.

If you or any of your PhD students are interested in participating in the IMP Doctoral Consortium in Kolding 2015, please submit a short version (max. 1500 words) of your PhD proposal by January 31st 2015 to . Submission should include the following aspects:

  • Research area
  • Overall research problem
  • Use of theory and methodology
  • Description of (proposed) empirical study – if applicable.

Numbers are limited to 20.

Important dates:

  • First submission of max 1500 words by January 31st
  • Notification of acceptance by February 20th
  • Final submission of max 8000 words by May 15th
